Let God calm and color your life…

You are my secret hideout!
You protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of rescue! (Psalm 32:7)

When we see God in our situation and our surroundings He will calm and color our lives. When we work to see people and events through His eyes He will shift our perspective off of the effect they have on us and onto the effect we can have for Him on them. It’s a Divine paradigm shift.

Seeing God in everything will change the dynamic to every relationship. Seeing God in every event, in every circumstance, helps us process those events as a part of the chapter or season in which we are. When we know that we are smack dab right where God wants us, facing and handling whatever is there, we can do it with the attitude that we are working for Him, because we are!

Let God calm and color everything you see.

If I told you my story
You would hear victory over the enemy
If told you my story
You would hear freedom that was won for me
If I told you my story
You would hear life overcome the grave. [Lyrics from Big Daddy Weave, My Story (click here to listen) ]

And now a note about the photo…these art therapy coloring books really do work. I’m here to endorse this process from personal experience. While I was going through the season of waiting (to read “A Season of Waiting” click here) my mom picked one of these up and she and I colored it one particularly anxious morning. After about 10 minutes I noticed that my anxiety had subsided, that I could breathe in a full deep breath, and my thoughts were calmer. Hope they help you as much as they did me!
