God loves us- no matter what

Nov 9

Isn’t it reassuring to know that God loves us no matter what? No matter what we do, what we say, what we think- no matter what. God’s promises of steadfast love fill the Bible. He loves us, He will never leave us, and He is always working for us. No matter what.

There is nothing that we can ever do that will change His love for us. Nothing.

Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:26)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4-5)

Advent reminder: Each Saturday for the past few weeks we have focused on Advent. It is right around the corner (29 days!). This year Advent begins on Sunday, November 29. If you’re new to the weekend weave and want to read the past Advent notes click here. To read the Advent 2015 series click here.

This weekend is a wonderful time to fill out, or make, your Advent cards. Prayerfully select a special verse for the person receiving the card. As you fill out the card pray for the Spirit to lead you in what words of encouragement or memory to share with that special person. Decide when you want to mail the cards and allow plenty of time for their delivery prior to Advent so that the recipient can share in the Season.
