Joel 2 25

The blessing of restoration is a promise written in the Bible and ready for us to claim. We can lift up our heads, rest on His peace, and hold tight to these promises- it is the encouragement to keep going.

Look! I am sending you grain and new wine and olive oil,
    enough to satisfy your needs.
You will no longer be an object of mockery
among the surrounding nations.” (Joel 2:18)

Through the trials, and the challenges, and in the face of the giants, God promises that we will dance with the joyful again. No maybe about it- it is going to happen.

“Again you will take up your timbrels
and go out to dance with the joyful.
” (Jeremiah 31:3)

God gives and takes away, and we are to praise Him and to give thanks even in those difficult circumstances. God promises to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) so do not count it all as lost.

In this world we will have trouble, it’s not a maybe- it’s a certainty. But He has overcome the world. The victory is already His. So just keep going and believe that God doesn’t only call the equipped, He also promises to equip the called. He will send you new grain, new wine, and new olive oil- He will provide for your every need.

It may be tough going now, and you may feel as though you can barely stand under the pressure, but know that He will guide you, provide for you, and give you the strength to face whatever lies ahead. And look forward to the time when you take up that timbrel and go out again to dance with the joyful- restored!
