Psalm 42: Quenching the thirsty soul

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God. (Psalm 42)

We all get worn out. When we are worn out we can be short tempered, and our tone of voice relays our fatigue. We miss out on opportunities, experiences, and blessings because we are so weary that we close ourselves off. God knows that we have this shortcoming, and just like the deer panting for the water, our souls pant for Him.

He quenches the thirst of our soul. He restores us by directing His love to us, singing over us, and walking with us. He never leaves us, and always fights for us. When you are weary turn to Him and let Him replenish you.

By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8)
