God’s Promises: He is working for us

Laugh without fear

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. (Exodus 14:21)

This verse holds features a message of comfort- not only did God work to clear the way for the Israelites- He acted in the darkness. When the Israelites woke they found their crossing after God had worked “all that night“.

God is working behind the scenes of our lives just as He did for the Israelites. “God works through the night until the morning light dawns. You may not see it yet, but through the night of your life, as you trust Him, He works.” -Streams in the Desert, C.H.P.

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. (Psalm 112:4)

Give up the illusion that you deserve a problem-free life. Part of you is still hungering for the resolution of all difficulties. This is a false hope! As I told My disciples, in this world you will have trouble. Link your hope not to problem solving in this life but to the promise of an eternity of problem-free life in heaven. Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world, pour your energy into seeking Me: the Perfect One. -Jesus Calling, Sarah Young

We fall down. We law our crowns- at the feet of Jesus.
