Under hopeless circumstances, hopefully believe!

greater than our hearts

We belong to the truth, and we set our heart at rest in His Presence. We rely with confidence on the Word of God. We no longer live for self; our lives are sanctified- set apart- for His purposes. We walk by faith taking one step at a time.

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.” Psalm 89:15

Focus your entire being on My living Presence. I am most assuredly with you, enveloping you in My Love and Peace. While you relax in My Presence, I am molding your mind and cleansing your heart. I am re-creating you into the one I designed you to be. -Sarah Young, Jesus Calling

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.” Jude 24

As you move from stillness into the activities of your day, do not relinquish your attentiveness to Me. If something troubles you, talk it over with Me. If you get bored with what you are doing, fill the time with prayers and praise. When someone irritates you, don’t let your thoughts linger on that person’s faults. Gently nudge your mind back to Me. Every moment is precious if you keep your focus on Me. Any day can be a good day because My Presence permeates all time. -Sarah Young, Jesus Calling

Even my close friend, someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread, has turned against me.                                                                         But may you have mercy on me, Lord; raise me up, that I may repay them.                             I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.         Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.” Psalm 41:12

Under hopeless circumstances he hopefully believed.” Romans 4:18

O my soul, you do not have just one promise, like Abraham, but a thousand promises, and many patterns of faithful believers before you: it behooves you, therefore, to rely with confidence upon the Word of God. And though He delay His help, and the evil seems to grow worse and worse, do not be weak, but rather strong, and rejoice since the most glorious promises of God are generally fulfilled in such a wondrous manner that He steps forth to save us at a time when there is the least appearance of it. -Adapted from Streams in the Desert, C.H. Von Bogatzky

After sanctification it is difficult to state what your aim in life is, because God has taken you up into His purpose by the Holy Ghost; He is using you now for His purposes throughout the world as He used His Son for the purpose of our salvation. If you seek great things for yourself- God has called me for this or that; you are putting a barrier to God’s use of you. As long as you have a personal interest in your own character, or any set ambition, you cannot get through into identification with God’s interests. You can only get there by losing forever any idea of yourself and by letting God take you right out into His purpose for the world, and because your goings are of the Lord, you can never understand your ways. Learn that the aim in life is God’s, not yours. God is using you from his personal standpoint, and all He asks is that you trust Him, and never say “Lord, this gives me such heartache.” -Oswald Chambers
