“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” Ephesians 1:7
Can you answer this, believer? Can you find any reason why you are so often mourning instead of rejoicing? Why do you choose gloomy anticipation? Who told you that the night would never end in day? Who told you that the winter of your discontent would proceed from frost to frost, from snow and ice, and hail, to deeper snow, and yet more despair? Don’t you know that the day follows night, that flood comes after ebb, that spring and summer follow winter? Then hope! Hope for God never fails. You are redeemed!
