Keeping yourself from coming unraveled

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:33

“You live in a fallen, disjointed world, where things are constantly unraveling around the edges. Only a vibrant relationship with Me can keep you from coming unraveled too.” Sarah Young- Jesus Calling

Focus on the here and now- on today. God is in today and He has already conquered tomorrow.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23

As children of a sovereign God, we are never victims of our circumstances.  The Bible says to work at whatever circumstance we are in with all of our heart.

The conclusive truth is that all of our circumstances are known and permitted by God. He is using them as tools to build our relationships with Him. He turns all of them for our good when we allow Him to work in our lives- when we love, obey, and trust Him.

You may not be able to understand all that God does in your life. But when you can focus on  the truth that He is sovereign, you will find some blessing and value in everything you go through.-Walking With God, Life Principle #18
