“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!” Isaiah 30:18
Quietness and trust accomplish far more than you can imagine; not only in you, but also on earth and in heaven. Spending time alone with Me can be a difficult discipline because it goes against the activity addiction of this age. As you do you may appear to be doing nothing but actually you are participating in battles going on within spiritual realms. You are waging war- not with the weapons of this world, but with heavenly weapons, which have divine power to demolish strongholds. Living close to Me is a sure defense against evil. -Sarah Young, Jesus Calling
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4
There are times in spiritual life when there is confusion, and it is no way out to say that there ought not to be confusion. It is not a question of right and wrong, but a question of God taking you by a way which in the meantime you do not understand, and it is only by going through the confusion that you will get at what God wants. -Oswald Chambers
“ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Can you have peace during difficult, trying times when your circumstances seem unmanageable, and you don’t have any idea what is going to happen? Yes you can. You can experience a tranquility that is so profound and reassuring, it endures deep within, despite whatever happens. It is based on the security you have with God- the only One who can truly give you unshakable peace. -Walking With God, Life Principle #12
“Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.” But the wicked are like the tossing sea, for it cannot be quiet.” Isaiah 57:19
Yesterday we had an “a-ha!” moment in preparing for the next phase of the struggle with the giant- a moment of truly divinely inspired clarity. God was there, in the room, drawing out the concepts, and it was so powerful that for the rest of the day, and even still this morning, I keep reveling in it. When the struggle is all over I’ll share in detail, but for now just know that it was such an answer to prayer, such a clear and concise visual, so empowering, and truly a game changer. It was the sort of experience that recharges, energizes, and illuminates the next steps. It was awesome!
