Week 1: Accomplished!

So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.…- Proverbs 3:4-7

The present circumstance which presses so hard against you (if surrendered to Christ), is the best-shaped tool in the Father’s hand to chisel you for eternity. Trust Him, then. Do not push away the instrument lest you lose its work. The school of suffering graduates more scholars. (Streams in the Desert)

Strange and difficult indeed we may find it, but the blessing that we need is behind it.

“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength” -Isaiah 30:25

This week’s blessings: prayers and support from the most amazing family and friends; mom walking each and every step of the past week with me, and an attorney who can lead through the process with grace, encouragement, and even a few laughs- because laughter really is the best medicine: increases endorphins, improves oxygen intake and breathing, and I’m pretty sure it burns the calories of a peanut butter cup or two; two amazing children and their friends who have committed to taking care of the animals, the house, the plants, and themselves while I have been up north dealing with the struggle. To come home to a clean house and be blessed with a few days to rest up before round 2 is such a blessing! And that the plumeria I have nursed from an offshoot, that is about to bloom for the very first time, has not bloomed while I’ve been away so I haven’t missed it!
